Westchester Day Camps for Kids

Challenge Camp Chess MatchIf you have children, you know that finding them a great summer day camp can be a challenge. Luckily Westchester Magazine published a list of 26 great camps for you. From sports to the arts, I have featured a few that may offer your child a great experience this summer. Spaces fill up quickly!

Broadway Training Center of Westchester, Hastings: 6-16 yrs, $850-$2,200 - Full scale musical productions, which students perform at the end of the session. Musical theatre workshops are included for your future star.

Challenge Camp 2007, Eastchester: 4-15 yrs, $1,550-$3,550 – Over 40 courses in architecture, art, broadcasting, robotics, cartooning, technology, and video production. Afternoon students get sports clinics such as golf, and basketball and enrichment workshops in SAT/PSAT prep.

Lagond Music School Summer Program, Elmsford: 12-18 yrs, Price Not Avail. – Students taught in music mastery and live performances. Students then placed in bands that study improvisation, groove, rhythm, stage presence, and then apply their studies live at area clubs and venues.

Milestone School Summer Camp, Mount Vernon: 2-3 yrs, $500/wk Full Day - Early "phonics" Reading Program, Outdoor Activities/Water play, Field Trips, Music/Movement, Cooking, Arts & Crafts and Diaper Friendly Classes.

MVP Basketball Camp, White Plains: 6-16 yrs, $350/wk – Basketball instruction, team and individual skills, and games.

Wagon Road Camp, Chappaqua: 6-13 yrs, $2,300 – Swimming, athletics, horsemanship, nature study, arts and crafts, dance, drama, music, cooking, adventure activities, overnights, and special events.

 

World Cup Gymnastics and Sports Camps, Chappaqua: 6-16 yrs, Price Not Avail. – Gymnastics camp offers trampoline, tumble track, foam pits, bars and beams. Sports camp offers a different sport every day including indoor and outdoor sports, and water fun.
